Go to vixy.net and do the same just pastte the url and press start it will download to .avi so you can view it in ANY player on the 770 and 800.

That's a pretty nice service, I must admit. On the other hand that is really slow and with that kind of service, you never know when it disappears.

Any way, uktube is now in a proof of concept stage. It might be quite a different app after a while of development.

Yes - I'd say most of the users of this forum already knew about a "local" version of this hosted by someone "here". Search for "vidconvert" and you'll find it. This program is quite different IMO, and makes watching youtube vids much much easier.

Yeah, VidConvert has the advantage that I'm not going anywhere anytime soon :-)

If Urho can get a circular pipe/FIFO working (necessary to get mplayer to play a partially downloaded FLV) then it could be even cooler
