Everybody does tablets today. WP7 is for mobile phones only.
Nokia cannot afford a seperate platform only for tablets..so whats the plan?

Besides being swallowed by MS.

Good question. My plan is to buy the best tablet out there, unlikely to be from Nokia, in about six months.

So can Nokia afford not to have tablets? I doubt it. They are gonna be an important additional accessoire in the future.

Nokia just buried their tablet plans with meego.

Why can't WP7 be used for tablets?

If they stuck with maemo/meego, they wouldn't need to release a tablet, because other people can release tablets running on that and since nokia's phone runs the same OS they can integrate.

That said, Nokia can live without a tablet, they don't need one and trying to create one would be a waste of resources, there's just too many people fighting for the pie at the moment.
