I'm so pissed right now, because I'm trying for 2 weeks to test an application that I made using .so plugin files and still no stupid easy way to use a daim emulator!
I've installed MADDE following a guide wich did not work... I had to google out an solution which was to change some emulator that was on the guide to qemu.
It's ridiculous the difficulty and unexpected issues that comes along while going through a stupid installation guide... there's always some fuc*ing error on some step. I already hated linux and after unsuccessfully trying to test the application for 2 weeks now and still haven't got anywhere is frustrating...
My current problem is that when I click on the emulator icon on Qt it starts QEMU and takes it time to load and nothing happens. I check the options in Qt ->maemo device configuration and click on test and i get this: Could not connect to host: Server rejected password.
Did you start Qemu?
I've tried all my combination of users and password that I use... and nothing even tried without any user and with user developer... I don't have to enter any password when I login to scratchbox.
I'm using Ubuntu in a virtual box on windows 7.
I had to use linux to debug my app because it is multi-platform and some code needed testing under linux.
Since qt simulator doesn't debug properly under linux, how do I fix this and finally be able to test a fuc*ing application!?
thanks in advance! and please help me or I'm screwed :\ I've already lost a tremendous amount of time fighting linux and it's minions.
