So I have been on maemo.org since I purchased my N900 the week it was released. It seems to me that everyone was all pumped up on MeeGo and the N9 and I NEVER understood why.
What is the big deal about MeeGo? I doubt it will be anywhere near as open as Maemo 5
it won't be as mature as Android/iOS.
Was I the only person who bought the N900 knowing exactly what it would deliver?

MeeGo doesn't exist in Nokia no more. MeeGO is supposed to be better and more open than Maemo5

I personally love my N900 and Maemo (it has it's flaws, but no OS is perfect)
What is the big deal about MeeGo? I doubt it will be anywhere near as open as Maemo 5, it won't be as mature as Android/iOS. I never intended on trading in my N900 for an N9, or any phone (well besides this concept: http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/20/t...android-video/).
Was I the only person who bought the N900 knowing exactly what it would deliver? When I first heard about the Ovi store I found it to be comical. Before the official release, I saw other developers porting and developing their own applications for the N900 and that's when I knew this was a device I wanted.
The only reason why I post this is because everyone is all up in debate about MeeGo, the N9, and the new thread, "what was your phone before the n900??"
I really need someone to explain to me this appeal for MeeGo.
