I am having problem formating my N900.

I had an update terminated when my N900 was on. I terminated the update by switching off the N900.

On restarting the N900, it keeps telling me "installing software update please do not interrupt... 5%"

I leave the N900 to complete the installation, however it never gets completed.

Now i want to format and revert to factory settings and it wont work with the u button pressed down. It still shows "installing software update please do not interrupt... 5%".

And with that, my laptop cannot recognize the usb port i have the N900 connected to.

Please if u have got any solution to this problem kindly let me know how i can get over this problem.

run flasher, hold down U, connect it to the laptop, then insert the battery

Flasher have some problem with windows which have x64 bits,
If you have 32 bits then follow the guide:

First switch off your N900
then, Hold U button and connect it to your usb (Your computer should recognize that your mobile is connected.)

Now, Open the maemo flasher-3.5

then write,
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2.004_PR_COMBINED_004_ARM.bin -f -R
And if you want to format your emmc then type

flasher_3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-
2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f

Now its done,
Hope this help
