Hi there, I'm helping my wife configuring a N900 up north. She currently doesn't have a data plan with Rogers. I installed and configured fMMS settings according to the wiki here.

Connection Name: Rogers MMS
Connection Type : GPRS
Access Point Name: media.com
User Name: media
Password: mda01
Use Proxy: Yes
HTTP Proxy: 172.25.0.107
Port number: 8080
MMSC: http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
Resize Image: (your choice, you can use the entire 5mp resolution of 2576 and Rogers will let you send it, but it all depends on the receiving phone's capabilities to handle MMS)
Your Phone Number: +xxxyyyzzzz (Don't forget the + in front of number)

When I choose Rogers MMS to download the MMS messages within fMMS, I get a message saying "you have attempted to use a data application without a data plan
for options, click here http://rogers.com/m/smartphonedp/1/i" During the configuration, there was no place to specify that it's a GPRS connection or my phone number. Someone knowledable in this area, please help!

There is no fix but perform the time offset tweak but that's not really a fix.

I effectively abandoned the phone a month ago and it's just a piece of thing on my desk!

so no ways to fix/change it
