How can I configure the hell out of it?! I saw a post by mighty MAG about commenting out a line in /var/lib/dpkg/info/accountpluginsalut.postinst or something like that, but it absolutely didn't work! What is the cause of the problem in the first place? How can it be solved?

Yes, I did too. I just used
Code:
apt-get purge
on the offending packages. Basically, one of the meta-packages that includes a bunch of extra Conversations protocols, pulls in one plugin that throws this error. The rest of the packages, with all the other plugins, should stay where they are.

Note that this is my limited understanding based on just a few days of fiddling with this when I first went to install the same stuff. Someone like MohammadAG no doubt knows more than me, but if following his solution doesn't work, just deleting that one plugin should let you keep all the others, so unless you need that one plugin specifically, it should be good.

here is the solution....

using filebox edit the file that causing an error and add # in the first line likes this...

#/etc/init.d/avahi-daemon start

then save the files & your problem will solve....

Thanks bro, I'm just using MSN Haze, and Facebook Chat plugins. Throwing out error-causing unnecessary plugins is a remedy.
