Hi guys, I am looking for a little help with a Desktop Dock that needs to have an analogue clock inserted into the face of it but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the arms appear in the Desktop Clock widget?

The idea I have is heavily influenced on this image but with the centre dial used as an analogue clock

Most of this I have had to redraw for maemo specific applications and create an over lay of QBWidgets but the clock is plaguing me and cannot find any information on how to create Cairo Clock Themes.

The Arm hands have been created in gimp and converted to .svg files in inkscape with the help of online tutorials, however none of the images will appear when I select them with Desktop clock widget without either turning the clock black or not showing at all. I have even tried to replace the hand files (only) of existing themes but these do not show too.

Is there anything that I am missing, what can i do? Google has been no help as it just gives me link to replacing pre-made theme folders.

Thanks

I just found another theme and replaced the Clock.png file with your aqua thingy.

Is that good enough or do you want something better?

Hi Addison, thanks for replying and thanks for your idea with the clock hands. Turns out I like those clock hands that you have and thanks for again as you copied the clock face into the image as it seems the clock needs face image?

Anyhoo, I have kept your hands for now and greyed them in to match the rest of the image...

I did not notice how dark it would be in the N900 screen, lol. It looked quite vibrant on the desktop Still got to work out how to impliment the CPU and Memory dials?

I personally would use white coloring instead of grey so your clock pops on the screen.

I do like your concept though.
