After upgrading to OS 2008 Feature upgrade ( Diablo 4.2008.30-2 ), I am no longer able to refresh Maemo Repo's.
It now displays a RED Circle with an X in it adjacent to Maemo repository, stating the following:

(maemo - failed to refresh)

- Go into the Application manager.
- Tap the menu -> Tools -> Application catalog...
- Tap once on Maemo.
404 Not Found[IP:70.183.191.138.80]
http://repository.maemo.rog/dists/di...el/Packages.gz
404 Not Found[IP:70.183.191.138.80]

Are those applications that were in the previous OS2008 not compatible in the the Diablo OS?

Using a N800.

Any help would be most appreciative...Thx

Yeah, I haven't gotten those two archives to work since the whole repository blowup a few weeks back. It's weird, but there doesn't seem to be anything that will fix it. I can download them via a web browser, but not the nokia. So I've been considering just downloading them by hand and finding a way to update manually from the command line or something. Not sure how to do that, but if someone knows, it'd be appreciated.

1. Update repositorys (button on lower right corner)
2. Tools->Log-Save As and send log here
3. open xterm type 'cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list' and send output here

Copy and paste is much more reliable for this sort of thing, as it allows easy isolation of any typos actually in the output (indicating a typo in the repository list, naturally).

But your actual problem appears to be twofold. First, you're trying to use the SDK repo on the device; this is not recommended and, when sufficient caution is not exercised, it's quite easy to wind up with a non-bootable device. Maybe you know quite well what you're doing, but if not, consider yourself scared and go back to repos meant for the device.

Second, that's no longer there; now http://repository.maemo.org/dists/diablo/ has two subdirectories, sdk/ and tools/, where the sdk/ contains the same tree that used to start from, e.g., http://repository.maemo.org/dists/chinook/; the tools, by the way, is developer stuff that's safe to install on the device.

I currently have the tools repo enabled for my device, with distribution 'diablo/tools'; similarly for the sdk, although I don't have that configured (in this boot image).

Edit: BTW, I'm no Debian wiz, and freely confess my ignorance of how repos are supposed to be set up. Using a slash in the distribution name looks like a clumsy workaround; if this is wrong, and someone knows the right way to set up those repos, enlightenment is welcome. But what I've got works for me.

Yeah, I'm getting the same failures as DasSaint, but with the Chinook part of the repository.

DasSaint, as Benson stated there is no such repository as 'deb http://repository.maemo.org/ diablo free non-free'. Remove it and everybody will be happy.

Lord Raiden, if you want advice, do the same as DasSaint and send the information. Guessing is too hard
