as the title says, i tried apt-get install wget and its telling me : Eackage wget has no installation candidate.

can anyone help clarify this problem?

I think wget is installed by default. Here is what I get:

/home/user # apt-get install wget
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
wget is already the newest version.
wget set to manually installed.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 10 not upgraded.

wget is available from the following repositories. Make sure at least one of these catalogs is enabled in your applicatoin manager before you try to apt-get install wget:

Fremantle Extras free armel wget 1.10.2-2osso3

Fremantle Extras-devel free armel wget 1.10.2-2osso3

Fremantle Extras-testing free armel wget 1.10.2-2osso3

thank i sorted it out.... i forgot to do apt-get update before apt-get install wget and it worked!
