Those are 7zip files. What device are you trying to decompress them on?

Well since it has the sources, and is a CLI app.. it actually wouldn't be hard to port p7zip, if you're familiar with making debs. Just need to compile it in scratchbox for ARM and then make an optified deb file for it.

I'd do it... but I have no device to test with =-(. This could be done rather quickly if someone cared enough to do so.

I'd start from http://packages.qa.debian.org/p/p7zip.html - it should be just a case of adding some optification tweaks to the existing build file, and compiling for armel.

You can use either Rob1n's suggestion or download the source (.tar.gz) directly from p7zip that I linked in a post previously.

You need a working scratchbox build, (or easy debian on the device), and then build an optified deb package compiling it for ARMEL.

I just ported it.
and upload to autobuilder in Extras-devel.
I think it will be available in an hour.
Package is optified. I didn't make a lot of testing. If it will not work post here.....

You can check status of porting here: http://maemo.org/packages/view/p7zip/
It will have 2 packages p7zip and p7zip-full. On root will be installed around 10kb other will be in /home/opt

Edit: It was build and soon will be in repository
Edit: It is now in Extras-devel. For getting help type 7zr in x-term
