hello all, today i m really very sad becoz i went to youtube to watch a movie bt there it appears to upgrade my flash player and download it from adobe. aah surely i cant be able to install that ones. currently i m using tweak flash plugin 10.1.53 bt it doesnt work very gud.
My question from all genius members, compilers, coders, programmers is that they spent all thier time in developing apps and hacks of new types e.g nitdroid, hildon desktop, meego, overcloking then y not any one of them tries to build a tweak or hack whatever for latest adobe 10.3. as u all know this reason is also a main one that android is on top as compare to maemo. plzz help

I have no idea what you're talking about. Youtube is working like it always did.

there have been a lot of threads here talking about the issues around updating/maintaining a flash plugin--please look them up if you are just interested in the reasons.

however, if you don't mind multi-booting, nitdroid is working with flash 10.3.

if this is just about watching stuff on youtube and the options on maemo aren't working for you, the youtube client on nitdroid also works.

Someone uploaded this hacked version of adobe flash deb package. It appears to contain both original adobe flash that comes with N900 and the leaked 10.x version of adobe flash but it also seems like there are a few other issues:
1) The installation will take place on rootfs, which means you'll need something like at least 10MB free.
2) There's a red rectangular mark on the top left corner of the video window whenever the leaked 10.x version is used. This is to probably signify that it was a beta release and not a full release.
3) tweakflashplayer will complain and quit if it founds out your adobe flashplayer is not the original maemo version as it goes by filesize checks.

Anyway, here's the link: http://www.mediafire.com/?4riuz660b0t23tp

I don't know if its ok to use it, or to put simply... Whoever uploaded the package probably meant it as `use at your own risk' type of thing. Afterall adobe, ti and whichever other organisations were involved only had the flashplayer in alpha/beta state and if it was never released you can imagine its obviously not stable.

Alas its a good thing that whoever uploaded this has kindly included the original flashplayer and made a symbolic link of flashplayer to the beta one. In layman's terms, if you want to switch back to original flashplayer, all you do is remove the old symlink and create a new one to the original flashplayer which sits in the same directory as the leaked one.
