My n900 is now over 2 years old and running perfect. My only growing problem right now is: after all this time of use the side switch has been ground down and is very difficult to reach. If my finger is only a little moist its almost impossible to swipe it down.

Any bright Ideas about what I can put on it to make it stick out a bit?

Stick a bit of plastic or something on it using superglue?

A really small screw and an even smaller drill bit? I had read on hack a day how someone was using acetone and abs plastic to "weld" but idk if the case of the n900 is abs. If it is you could just put a drop of it there to get a finger hold.

btw i think legos are abs

Use a nail? (EDIT: for those who think the above is ambiguous, use a fingernail)

I did the opposite, i had problems with the sideswitch turning on the 900 in my pocket, so i cut it down.
And then i used a solderingiron and a knife to cut a jack in the switch instead.
