Yep. There are several screen shot applications on the Ovi Store. I use a free one called screenshotme, which is engaged by opening and then minimizing the application. Then to take a pic, simply cover the proximity sensor for a second and you are presented with the image and the ability to rotate and save the image.

EDIT: Dang it. You said ScreenCast and not Screen Shot. My bad. And no, I haven't yet found a screencast option on the N9 but since I never really found one that worked correctly even on the N900 I'm not getting my hopes up.

I think I saw somewhere some gstreamer commands with the screen as input, so I should be possible.
Sadly, I don't remeber where or what, sorry.

Well there's this gstreamer screencasting option:

But I was under the impression that his relies on the ffmpeg package not available under Maemo or Meego....

Hey, is there any Screen Recorder app for Harmattan? Video recording, not screen capturing. If so, what's the best one? Thanks. I have tried looking around but didn't find one..

Well one solution to get a screencast (not on the device) could be to capture the VNC session on your pc using vnc2flv.

For an other solution this could be of your interest:

One option is the TV out and a capture device like the HD PVR.
