It would be great though.. I tried the beta version on Android and was impressed. Mind you it was my first contact with swype, waiting delivery of my N9 so i don't know how it compares.
But I loved the speech function! Quite accurate even for my bad english.

Never used swype, never plan to... Though I know that the swype guys at the Meego Conference were as cool as can be

I agree. I was a big fan of physical keyboard and was worried if I could survive without it. I was not too happy with the N9 original VKB either.
Now I am a big fan of swype. It is fantastic. It is very easy and accurate to type, even with just one hand. You just have to have the open mind to give it a try.

But apparently in Android it's quite easy to replace the pre-installed Swype with this.
So the obvious question is...
Have any Maemo6x users renamed their Swype binary, & replaced it with the latest beta?
Would it be possible, or would there be too many complications?
I would've had a closer look myself, but I'm still waiting for the white N9 to become available.
