Well, maybe we'll get ACL from Openmobileww or a beta release of Nitdroid and gain access to the new Android version on our N9's.

No doubt this is a naive comment, because I'm not a software engineer (...yet - my classes begin in the fall), but: Firefox is free and open source software - why can't it be ported in some mutated form? Heck, I love Firefox, but I don't use it on my Windows desktop. I use Palemoon. Surely ported Android-native Firefox would be more complicated, but could it be worse than getting WebOS apps to run on Maemo?

Again, pardon my naivete, but I wonder how much work it would take.

Either way, the Firefox for the N9 is not an official port. It was ported by someone who may or may not have a relationship with Mozilla. Bottom line is, it wasn't developed by Mozilla specifically for the N9. If it was official, we'd see it on Mozilla's download page.

So to the OP, sorry, but the next version of Firefox is not coming to the N9, at least officially.

noted on Firefox on N9 isn't official, romaxa did the porting.

Maybe I should make my first post clearer..will romaxa port the latest FF on android to N9?
