Either way, the Firefox for the N9 is not an official port. It was ported by someone who may or may not have a relationship with Mozilla. Bottom line is, it wasn't developed by Mozilla specifically for the N9. If it was official, we'd see it on Mozilla's download page.
So to the OP, sorry, but the next version of Firefox is not coming to the N9, at least officially.
