Hi guys,

I like to have the syncevolution 1.2 on my n900. I installed only SyncEvolution version 1.1.1+20110204.
Where can I get the newer version?
I like to sync my calendar via CalDAV.

Thanks for help

Code:
Nokia-N900:~# apt-cache policy syncevolution
syncevolution:
  Installed: 1:1.2.1-1
  Candidate: 1:1.2.1-1
  Version table:
 *** 1:1.2.1-1 0
        500 http://repository.maemo.org fremantle-1.3/free Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
should be 1.2 by default, maybe you need to update

Hi there, and thnx for your messages. It lead me to Syncevolution 1.2 as well . I've got it installed now on my n900.

Like Dustion, i would like to sync my n900 calendar (and contacts, but that's for later) via CalDav, Davical in my case. I've been fiddling with all kinds of configurattion variants, but until now I have not been able to get things right. mostly I used the gui to configure syncevolution with the WebDav template.

The latest error report I got when trying to sync was like this:

parent: received report (external transport failure (local, status 20043)/ERROR 'REPORT 'meta data': Neon error code 2, no HTTP status: Could not resolve hostname `': Host not found')

Pfff, I'm kinda stuck now, but I feel I am almost there so I am not giving up yet. Dustion or Quipper8 or anyone else: are you able to give me a hint, or a peek in your configuration files?

Let me know what information you need.

Cheers, egel

Up to now I have had a lot of issues trying to synchronise contacts with Google Contacts.

- I have lost contacts in the phone that didn't have an email address and weren't present in the GMail account.
- When more than one phone was available for a contact, I got duplicates of contacts in the phone with different types of phones than initial. For example a "work" phone turned into "mobile" phone.
- Google Talk accounts converted to Jabber accounts in the phone.

I have not tested latest versions (I'm a bit scared after the initial trials) But I will give it a new shot (after a complete backup of course).
