Greetings:

Is any developer working on an application that allows me to view remote TV.

Everyone must of heard of Sling Box remote TV.

Can something like this be developed for the N800.

Or, Veoh now has Veoh TV Beta, which I have used.

Veoh TV Beta software can not be installed on a Nokia N800.

I believe Veoh TV Beta software will the Internet TV of the future.

I hope N800 users can install Veoh TV Beta software soon.

Regards Robert

There are some developments, but they are not very succesful. But as always:

It starts with ´S´ and ends with ´earch´.

well it could do that if only...:
- orb could detect all of my channels instead of getting stuck on the first one and.
- my pc was able to manage the amount of data nedded to transcode on the fly the live-tv stream (athlon XP 2200+/768 MB ram... quite an old piece of cra.. ehm hardware, I know )

Hmmm, check out MainLobby. I seem to want to think they had a client for the Q1 that did live video.

Orb sure does work. I started this thread a week or so ago, and I was really surprised it didn't get any responses, considering I hadn't seen anyone else successful at this.

Basically, I have Orb running great on my N800 with my USB tuner, but it only lets me get local OTA stations. Well, the tuner has an input port, so I just run AV cables into that port from my TV and then use VNC to start my Slingbox and access all of the channels and control my cable box and DVR.

The whole process is a bit clunky, but it definitely works. A dedicated client on the Nokias would definitely be better, but until then, I can live with this for the times I don't have my other devices with me.
