Make sure the battery is fully loaded before anything else.
Take the battery out of the device and then re-insert it to start freshly.
Please read this part of the wiki http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_t...ng_the_Flasher
Follow the procedure to the letter for best results

Compared to most of you guys my phone/computer skills are far less.
Basically i have followed the walk throughs on the handheldblog, mynokiablog, unlockr.com etc... (some just seem to be copy pastes of each other).
Tried on multiple win7 32 bit computers
Tried turning off driver signing in win7 test mode 7601
Basically i've download the maemo flasher.
Then i went to the page that asks for you IMEI and got the lastest USA software and the EMMC too.
Opened program files under C: added the two files.
Opened maemo flasher
Turn off phone
Plug usb into comp only
Plug in phone holding U, computer tries to install driver and fails (works fine if i just plug it in normally).
Goto program files, open the flasher, right click on program and goto properties copy file location (so i don't screw it up), then paste it in the maemo flasher and click enter.
Error says computer can't open .bin files.
I've tried every combination order of operations, doing different things first, second etc...
I'm stumped, so thanks for any help.
Joe
