Hello. First post here.

Problem:

Trying to flash N900 emmc and new os. Win 7 64bit.

After trying several things, I ended up installing the libusb-win32-bin-1.2.2.0.zip. All went fine, phone is found at the Device Manager under the "libusb-win32 devices" in update mode.

BUT, after I start the flasher, and type in:

flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f

And press enter, this happens:

flasher v2.5.2 (Sep 24 2009)

Image 'mmc', size 255947 kB
Version RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA
USB device found found at bus bus-0, device address \\.\libusb0-0001--0x0421-0x0
105.
Found device RX-51, hardware revision 2204
NOLO version 1.4.14
Version of 'sw-release': RX-51_2009SE_21.2011.38-1_PR_MR0
Booting device into flash mode.
Suitable USB device not found, waiting.

It disconnects the phone and phone tries to boot itself up (which leads into the bootlooping I have atm.). Ive tried starting flasher first but then it just does nothing.

What must one do?

there are some drivers issues with Win 7 64 bit and Windows XP Service Pack 2. Try flashing it on a windows 7 32 bit machine or Windows XP with SP3. or take a look HERE AT THIS THREAD may be this solves your problem.

Okay I'm back with this now (yes I'm lazy)

So far tried following:

- Win7 64bit
- Virtual PC XP SP3
- XP SP3 (on different pc)

On every single one I still can't flash the EMMC image, same thing:

"Found device RX-51, hardware revision 2204
NOLO version 1.4.14
Version of 'sw-release': RX-51_2009SE_21.2011.38-1_PR_MR0
Booting device into flash mode.
Suitable USB device not found, waiting."

It just simply disconnects the N900 (I hear the USB disconnect sound).

And then the FIASCO image.

On every three "systems" it starts as normal, but then halts on:

"Flashing cmt-mcusw... sending request 0x50 failed: No error".

- I'm using LATEST of both emmc and fiasco
- Also I have no means except start doing some DIY charger to load up my N900 battery so I used 3600 battery which is a bit shorter but fits in the n900 and it goes to update mode. Does the battery have anything to do with this?

So is this now a hardware problem afterall? Do I start diggin a small grave for my N900?

Appreciate the help.

So me, total ubuntu noob gained access to root, managed to find stuff and tried yet again to flash the EMMC:

root@ubuntu:~# /home/ubuntu/flasher-3.5 -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f
flasher v2.5.2 (Oct 21 2009)

Image 'mmc', size 255947 kB
Version RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA
Suitable USB device not found, waiting.
USB device found found at bus 001, device address 039.
Found device RX-51, hardware revision 2204
NOLO version 1.4.14
Version of 'sw-release': RX-51_2009SE_21.2011.38-1_PR_MR0
Booting device into flash mode.

Tried to flash only FIASCO:

Flashing cmt-mcusw... Sending request 0x50 failed!

Bootloader error log follows:
ERROR: Invalid argument for 'cmt'
ERROR: Error processing request, stalling
ERROR: EP0 STALL sent
ERROR: SST1 CH0: transmit timed out
ERROR: Error processing request, stalling
ERROR: EP0 STALL sent
ERROR: Premature end of control transfer

Ill download the files once again to check for corruption, but if that doesnt help, probably better to bury the damn phone

Edit: Downloaded files again, nope.

Is it into the computers main USB ports, not via a hub etc.
