I would like to set some not default ringtones to contacts.

If I set a custom ringtone as main ringtone, it works properly.
If I set a default ringtone to a contact (change main ringtone only in one contact), it works properly,

but when I set a custom ringtone to a contact, the phone rejected the calls from that contact after one ring.
I tried to copy the custom ringtone to /home/user/.ring-tones folder and the song appear on the ringtone list next to the defaults, but the result is the same.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Are you sure that its the only ringtone that happens?
Try another ringtone and check for the results (and use a stopwatch to see after how many seconds it rejects the phone with each ringtone that you test)

I tried three custom ringtones. If I use custom in a contact, won't work. Use a default one, it works. The custom ringtones are good, that's 100%, because I can use those as main ringtone (preferences/sound&vibrant - my phone languange is Hungarian, so I don't know the exact englis name).

In Hungary, we can't upgrade yet.

Guys

Have the same issue here, tried everything I know.

My N9 64GB, recently and properly updated to PR 1.1, does not accept my custom ringtone for some contacts (the majority).

And several tracks (mp3) I put manually in the 'Music' folder does not appears on the media library, at least for ringtone choosing purposes.

Is there a way to manually reset the media library?

I have to say this is very annoying and fustrating.

Any suggestions?

I had the same problem as Arthuro_Adam:

I would like to set some not default ringtones to contacts.

If I set a custom ringtone as main ringtone, it works properly.

I'm using PR 1.1 and Windows XP Home SP3, all updates, to copy MP3-files to /home/user/MyDocs/Music. The files were found, but they didn't seem to work as a custom ringtone for a certain contact(s). Somehow, the ringtones kept changing back to Global ringtone.

I used File Manager Beta * on the N9 to move the files the MP3-files from /home/user/MyDocs/Music to /home/user/.ring-tones. Then I tried setting a custom ringtone to several contacts. So far, this seems to work.

* Make sure you check Show hidden files!

In my case, whatever ringtone i set as default, ends up being changed to Nokia tune after some time.

Ditto for all sounds. I even tried to use the pre-loaded ones, same thing happens

am i missing something?
