i've just reflashed my phone and installed open mode to try nitdroid. the problem now is that before flashing, my phone can connect to any wpa wifi, but now, it tries but after a minute it says connection can't be established. yes, but it didn't work either. I'm going to reflash because nitdroid isn't useful for me at this stage. hope this will solve the problem. thanks anyway

i've just reflashed my phone, and the problem is still there. i'm trying to connect through my pc, creating an adhoc network because i only have a usb stick to connect to internet. could that be the problem?

The way your PC connects shouldn't be an issue; can you try your phone on other WiFi networks to rule out hardware issues?
Also can you set a dns address for your wifi connection manually instead of it auto-retrieving it?

i can connect to other networks, but I don't know how to change the settings on the adhoc network to give static ip
