my N950 suffers the same issue , I plan to reflash it to check ... but they may be a better solution to this problem ...

You do realise that this was a post 2 years ago
But funny enough, my N950 has also been very weird now...
The backlight wont turn off once it's in the charger... (Have to lock the screen manually)

You have used mcetool to disable screen from turning off when plugged in?

The backlight won't automatically turn off anymore.
But when pressing the lock button, it does turn off the backlight, but other than that, it doesn't.
I tried everything. I changed the settings to 1 minute, but that didn't help anything at all...
How can I find out why it doesn't turn off the backlight?
