There seems currently be some Jolla updates available on Warehouse. Could this be sign of incoming Sailfish update?
Jolla and the Sailfish operating system are updated on a monthly basis, based heavily on our community's input. Stay tuned for further improvements, next one is coming end of February!

Updating packages is common practice for any kind of software repositories 
No need for os update for installing new packages versions, if they available already

I'm not sure.. But it looks like it fixes some issues with GPS, earlier when I opened Maps it caused WLAN to get disconnected. But now it works fine and also GPS seems to get locked extremely fast. Could be coincidence also.
Last time just before system update there was lot of packages available on Warehouse.
And will that be safe to install updates like these?
