Hi there

I am about to join the community of happy n800 owners, but not yet...waiting for a refund on a palm tx first :P

meantime, as internet tv is getting popular and the divx web player is being used all over... did anyone here try it out on the n800?

here is a test site:
http://stage6.divx.com/videos/tag:nokia

wishing it works !

for linux support try mplayer.

message on the video.
click play, and it gives you the option to download a .divx file.

as mentioned above the Divx web-player does not work directly; you will need to have Xterm and MPlayer installed.

For example to view
http://stage6.divx.com/user/astronom...Guitar-Picking
click on play - then click on the 'whitish' screen that comes up to download the file: http://video.stage6.com/1529258/.divx to a folder on your n800.

Launch Xterm and go to the folder where you downloaded the divx file and then type:

mplayer 1529258.divx

[faster: type mpl hit TAB type 1 hit TAB]

It should be possible to stream it instead of downloading the file by typing the following into Xterm instead:

mplayer -playlist http://video.stage6.com/1529258/.divx

However this takes more than 20 minutes to resolve, initially looking like it has stopped. I will post back if I find a way of streaming this by defining additional -vo and/or -ao options for mplayer.
