But I'd suggest you improve your reading skills first:
Downgrade disallowed
Fetch appropriate FW version image. Check CRC.
Do not use the bird risen from ashes.

BTW is it mandatory to flash EMMC as well? Also may I know its contents? (stupid question but will Nokia cooker in this case help?)

I'm relatively new to the N9.
I recently got NITDroid running and all was fine.
I then saw a port for the Sailfish OS and hence followed procedure using "Flasher" software.
A command was used to erase memory and flash emmc and main.
It took quite some time to erase and when flashing began it reported an error and said it could not proceed.
After this, phone powers ON to the warning screen but does not do anything else.
I tried to flash with flasher -f -F main.bin but returns the same result.
Hence, I downloaded the necessary files from NaviFirm and tried my luck with Phoenix but it does not proceed and reports failure of flash.
I would be very grateful for receiving ant help in this regard,
