I put my N800 to the side for the month and today I went to use it so I plugged it in and the white Nokia screen came up as normal and then about 5-7 seconds later flashes to black and then the white nokia comes up again. If I hit the power it just flashes the Nokia startup and then dies like it had a dead battery. I've had it for about 4 months so I wouldn't think it's a battery issue but that's my first guess. I hadn't installed anything as of late so I wouldn't have thought I bricked it in any way.

Any ideas, I'm going mad from this.

Not a very techie suggestion but try removing the battery, putting it back in and then trying to reboot?

My 770 would sometimes get in a similar situation and doing as I mentioned would get it to boot. I have no idea how it worked but it did

Cheers,
Mark

Markg is probably right. I've had that happen a few times.

Unfortunately that was the first thing I tried. Is there a sort of reset on the n800 that might help? I couldn't find anything that looked like a reset but never know where they hide those things these days.

Thanks,

I had that happen once after it had been sitting a wile. What I ended up doing was turning it on then plugging it in real fast as soon as the screen came on.
