i just bought a used N900 and been trying to set up a development environment for it. unfortunately ive been out of luck in finding the right resources and need a nudge from the community. can someone help explain and / or confirm some of these for me please:
1. is this a legit way to root the system?
2. how can i control/emulate N900 from my ubuntu like on this video?
3. where can i verify and check if this unit is authentic and not a cloned?
4. what is some of the better way to interact / access the system from linux?
5. is the CLI method / flasher still a better option then the GUI method?
i am somewhat familiar playing with ADB and Fastboot from the linux terminal when experimenting with android system but many of the instruction that i found online are either outdated or lead to a broken link. any help, advice or pointing me to the right direction would greatly appreciated. thank you and sincerely, i am
