What the esteemed chilango is trying to say is:
Instead of just starting a new thread without actually looking around and seeing if there already is a thread with what you need in it ..is..."wasteful" (best all around word I can think of for it)
instead of using the "power search" function ( to your right...in the column...)
for example...
and typing "Nokia firmware server dead"
results in a list of threads ...
the most obvious being:
https://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1497300
If what you need isn't there..
then perhaps asking "inside" that thread would net what you need.
(for myself I do not have an n9 and so consequently do not have the interest or inclination in any way whatsoever to study or research something I do not have a device for ...nor any interest in owning said device...in short...my interests aren't in this field..)
now that you are aware...
I suggest using the search functions and power search functions
and ask "inside" already running threads pertaining to whatever your current problem / issue / interest is
By doing so...
You are more likely to find the help you need...
or be pointed (by a fellow member) in the direction where you will find it...
hahaha...well...explaining things and forum protocols meant tioubxancur cut me to the chase...
still...
it reinforces the point.
