Yesterday it happened to me. I was listening to MP3's using Kagu and in the mean time watching my latest photos using the standard image viewer when suddenly the image viewer couldn't find any images anymore.
I looked with the file manager and the card (well, at least the directory structure) was corrupt.
This was the first time it happened to me since i have the tablet (7 months).
I never had any problems before. What was different is that i used the card in a laptop with Vista installed to copy the images. Something i normally do using the cable.

SD card used is a "Rapid Pro 150x 4Gb card".

I formatted the card and all looks ok again.

Is this info useful to someone? Does it make sense to open a bug for this one incident?

Ton.

Ton, do you think your issue is applicable to bug 1636? Or were you using the 770?

If he was, I'd buy his 770 in a nanosecond: It takes 4GB SD cards!

Hmmm, don't really know what SD card corruption has to do with Wifi sleep timeout. I was using the N800 in a plane.

So no, nothing to do with 1636. It looks like 1204, however they are talking about the card becoming Read-Only. My card was corrupted.

I saw the "MMC corruption" in the title and just wondered.

Ton, I apologize: I meant bug 1204.

https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1204

Note that corruption is also an issue.

I hope you can confirm that this is a high priority bugfix for Nokia to implement in the next version of the firmware, right? It only happened to me once now and it s*cks. Lost my vacation photos.... and worse, i don't trust the N800 anymore with my data.

Happened again and now i cannot format my SD card anymore. Not even under Windows. Will try to format it under Linux later (burning the live CD at this moment).

Is my card corrupt? Is the only solution to buy a new card?
