Is it possible to have some overlay/window for Sailfish OS to let apps run inside of it?

What exactly do you mean by an overlay window? ScreenTapShot has a floating screenshot button that sits there as an overlay on the rest of the screen.

Neat idea, but I don't think you can do it just with any application; you need to specifically draw your application window to the overlay.
