Is there any way to run the tablet's applets on
the kde destkop? (things like OMWeather for
example).

I am not sure if there is a way to make them run or not. If you right click on the taskbar, you can add some KDE applets one of which is a weather applet.

If you right click on the taskbar, you can add some KDE applets one of which is a weather applet.
true, but it does not look as "flashy" as a desktop transparent
weather panel and the kde applet has a tiny and seemingly
uneditable list of weather stations ...

I don't suppose superkaramba would run very well on
the tablet ...
