I'd like to get a BT keyboard for my N800. I've read a number of the threads in this forum and it seems that iGo stowaway is a good choice. For me, lighter is better so that would suggest the 4-row ultra-slim. Can someone confirm how one types numbers on this keyboard? I'm assuming that it's in combination with one of the two Fn keys. Any opinions - how inconvenient is it to use a Fn key for numeric input? Is it worth the extra weight for the full 5-row stowaway? Are there any other pluses or minuses to consider?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Whatever your decision, I would make it quick. If I recall correctly, iGo is discontinuing all its keyboard products in favor of concentrating on its laptop power adapters and the like.

There are 2 Fn keys, a blue on the left and a green on the right. The blue one is for the numbers on the top row, and the green for the shifted characters that would typically be on the number keys.

It's not that bad, though I do find I often have to backspace and fix a few things. Also consider things like passwords if you have numbers and punctuation embedded (and you should). It is a great keyboard though. I don't think there's a numlock either. (I have a dell branded one which SAYS numlock, but it only applies to the Axim I guess).

Overall, you have to decide which is less convenient - the shifted numbers, a bulky keyboard that you just won't carry, or no keyboard at all.

Thanks for the feedback. I ordered the 4-row keyboard and I think it will meet my needs just fine.

Because of the imminent shutdown of production I'm trying to buy a spare BT keyboard for myself.. I wanted the 5-row kbd, but can't find one at all. The 4-row version seems to be easily available still though, and at some very nice prices as far as I can tell.

As of right now, Amazon says they have the 5-row in stock.
