I know media player tries to show a bunch of stations but unless you already know the station it's a crap-shoot at best. Then I remembered I used to check them using the YP. It's a list of the current Shoutcast streaming stations and what the play with all the details even something close to the current content...the URL is:

http://yp.shoutcast.com

I tried and it works perfectly. Browse to the site, click on the play button and viola Media Player fires up and you are streaming that station.

I am sure most folks already know about this but those who never used Winamp likely don't...

"The easiest way to get the list of stations from shoutcast.com is to go to the shoutcast.com and get it!" xDD

You can also go here to find even more content that all plays for me so far:

http://www.winamp.com/media

EDIT: need to qualify the "all plays" part...all of the audio plays fine but the video needs to be the lo-speed version.

How do I get the URL address for one of these stations so I can enter that into Canola?

Thanks.

oh, cool, I was just trying to figure that out for him...I had started to type "...hover the mouse over the button and right click..." then the sudden D'OH!! came over me...so now I know too...thanks!

EDIT: Just thought of something. The link properties of the button are a .pls playlist file. Does Canola support a .pls file?

oh, ok, I get it you were taking about using a browser on a PC to create a list that you could either manually type into Canola or even save the list to a .txt file, copy it to somewhere on the NIT. From there you could open it in some sort of editor and copy and paste the links.

I looked and realize there is no way to copy the link or to a "save target as"/"copy shortcut" like in IE or other browsers. How rude not to include this option in the browser!! hrrrmmmppphhh!
