The bluetooth connection between my n800 and sidekick 3 has no problem but when I try to get the internet it keep saying "connection failed to phone sidekick3 try again" is not working no matter what I do. I did a search on google to see if I can find a solution but I can't seem to find any direct solution except there was a review on the n800 and the guy that did the review seem to have used a sidekick 3 as an example to connect to the internet when there was no close wifi connection available, so I guess it is possible for internet via sidekick 3 but I can't seem to figure this out. Any help would be much appreciated.

I made a topic like this a few days ago. You can't do it. Blame T-Mobile.

got to love marketing speak, its not without reason that operators talk about web and/or mail access, not net access...

Hiptops/Sidekicks use Danger's proxy servers to reach the internet. It's not a straight up internet connection, so your NIT wouldn't know what to do with it. Not that Danger couldn't tweak some stuff to allow bluetooth connection sharing if it (and T-Mo) wanted to...

i guess the thinking is, if you want internet in your pocket, get the sidekick. if you want to connect a laptop (what else would want to use tethering, they probably ask) get that business plan via your workplace...
