I bought this one and used it with an adapter in the Minisd slot for a while, but it's causing me problems. When I plug it in if the tablet has already started, the keyboard stops responding to any input. If it is inside the tablet, it won't boot.

I've tried reformatting it from a computer, which works and fixes things -- but as soon as I put more than 4 gb of files on it, the problems begin again. It works fine with my computer, though.

I have other Adata cards in lower capacities and they work fine, though, so I'm not sure it isn't this card -- but be careful.

*might* be a bug in the OS. If I recall correctly, there was a similar problem going from something like 1 gig to 2 gig on the N800...

I have been tempted to pull the trigger on that for a while, but the reviews don't look that great

I have had no issues with my Sandisk 8GB microSDHC card in my N810. It is almost filled up to full capacity. I have the latest Chinook (51-3, I believe?) firmware. Therefore it looks unlikely it is an OS issue.

I'm tempted also, but am blindly hoping that in a few months there might be 16 GB miniSDHCs available.

I pulled the trigger on the patriot 8GB card a few months ago and haven't had any issues with reliability or performance. I've actually had more problems with my kingston 4GB card. Like you, I'm hoping a 16GB mini will exist at some point, but I'm not holding my breath. I get the feeling the micro 16GB's will be our only choice with an adapter.

One nice thing about shopping at newegg.com is that many items have large number of reviews. A little browsing shows that there are some brands that don't seem to have such good quality control: most of the reviews are good, but 20% or so are bad. But there are a few brands that have almost no bad reviews at all. Kingston and SanDisk are among good ones, as I recall; Patriot may be another. A-Data is something of a crapshoot. Their prices are slightly lower, but you have to figure in the time and hassle to return it if you get a bad one the first time.

I recently purchased one of these, and I can say that it is a very cheap card.
Transfer rate from computer was less than 1mb per second! After using it for an afternoon, the n810 wouldn't recognize it. It's now on its way back to newegg. Don't bother with this one. I don't think its work the hassle.
