Can someone find a way to disable the requirement for having the appication menu always in the task navigator? I want it to be that only the web, contacts menu, and personal menu are displayed.

It's hardcoded into hildon-desktop it seems, I changed the desktop file of the application menu to let me turn it off and I turned on Contacts in its place but the application menu still shows
