I am trying to use my laptop as a wireless access point, and I am having some troubles.
My laptop is connected to the internet through it's ethernet card, and I have set it up so that it shares that connection with my wireless card (using the wizard). I then start an ad hoc connection with my 770. It works very well for a little while (time varies from seconds to an hour), and then it just stops working. It says I connect, but it won't actually work, e.g. I can't connect to web sites etc... To get it working again I have to go to extremes, like restarting the computer (not the 770) or waiting for a while (more than 15 minutes for sure). Sometimes repairing the network fixes it, but that's not really a suitable fix, as I want to be able to just use my 770 w/out going to my computer everytime.
Any ideas as to why it keeps doing this? Has anyone else here tried this?
