In xterm I write fsck and it gives me a "not found" answer, so, where can I find it?

Become root and then you can run fsck.vfat.

nope, that's not the problem (used rootsh and it still gives me a "not found")
I don't have it installed. Was it added after update 30-2?

apt-get install e2fsprogs

????

not sure but I think it's in there.
