I just received the invite email from nokia to registering for publishing on OVI. They will support the new N97 that, even if is(will) a symbian, seem to me like the closest device (the missing link) to the tablet series.
Since I believe Maemo will not be there (in the store) for a while I was thinking could be nice from Nokia give to the community some help to begin the port of some of the knowdledge and ideas on OVI (tenths of million audience) and trying to connect better 2 worlds (cross applications between phones and tablets, PIM syncs, OVI services syncs etc.).
I read that Nokia already gave away discounts for the tablet months ago and could be nice to do something similar for some S60 models and I dont mean top models, just S60 to begin to develop something on and spread the maemo virus around.
I dont know internal Nokia policies but Im sure they have thousand of test devices taking dust in some basements in helsinki occuping the space of the pesäpallo equipment.
