I tried to set up ubuntu on my N810. It failed rather spectacularly.
that being said now the F/W of the device is corrupted it boots shows the screen for a second then the light on the upper left flashes on and the device reboots. I cant seem to fix it if it helps I'm running ubuntu 8.10 as my main OS

You should be able to reflash it. Just make sure you hold the (I think home button) on start up to put it in ready mode to be flashed.
