Is there any way, when you open evince, to set it to not have that thumbnail bar always there when the program is started? I realize it just takes a tap to close it , but I find it rather annoying.

I didn't find a way to do that ... but it's not so annoying, no ?

Its pretty annoying to me...I view it like a popup ad...I didnt ask nor want for it to be there and it cant be turned off it seems.
