I'm new to this arena so please hold the punches.
I've had the 770 for a while and recently got MPlayer installed. Still using the Nokia OS (2006), no access to root, etc. I can convert a small video clip, move it to the 770, and watch it there. That's easy enough.
Ideally I would like to watch movies stored on my PCs without any form of file copying. For one, there is very little space on the RS-MMC and for two, it will fit, at best, 1 or 2 movies even if I upgrade to a GB-size card.
What is the proper way to setup the 770 and/or the PC so I can watch the movies? They are in a variety of format at the moment, mostly Divx (AVI).
Thoughts? Comments? Link to things I should read up on? The big sticky thread is beyond my comprehension after 2 pages. Any guides available for less technical people like me?
