After a year of solid and stable performance, my n810 is in constant need of screen recalibration. Reloading firmware doesn't help and so look to be hardware related... I've sent it out to the "Nokia Repair Cntr" and received a Palco quote to repair for $108 USD. For that cost, does it make sense to repair, or just purchase a new one and sell the old one on eBay? TIA

I'm in a similar position, my N800 can no longer charge batteries. I haven't sent it to Nokia for a repair quote yet but if it's as much as you've been quoted I think it's not worth fixing. Buy.com recently had the N810 available for $180, if they make them available again, you might as well spend the extra $75 for a new device, or put the $108 you were quoted towards a Viliv S5.

If you bought your N810 with an AMEX credit card , you automatically get an extended warranty for your unit for another year. If you file a case, they would either pay for the repairs or refund you the amount you paid for the unit. That would be your best bet. If you used another card, check if they offer the same protection (I know some VISA do).

AMEX EXTENDED WARRANTY
