Connection to mobile network has been flakey for a while, low signal, sometimes not getting a connection for ages...
Since i've installed PR 1.3, i'm getting no mobile connection at all be it 2G or 3G (OK after a bit of fiddling it's connection to 2G network, not 3G though.)

Does it seem like it could be an issue with the cell radio in my phone?

the phone gets switched to offline mode 4 or 5 times a day...doubt that could affect it though...?

can't think what else could be causing the issue with it

OK...after a bit of fiddling with settings -> phone i found if i set it to
Network selection: Automatic
Network mode: GSM
it connected to voda OK.
Auto and 3G: OK
Auto and Dual: No connection.
Manually set to Vodafone and Dual: Connects OK and switches between 2G and 3G fine.

So if it connects to 2G network and 3G network fine when specifically set to connect to one or the other and it's set to auto network...why won't it do it when it's set to dual and auto network?

Me thinks PR 1.3 killed it dagnabit.

Yeah, it's a bit annoying because say i won't to go abroad it won't automatically connect to the correct network.

Nope, not software issue. Flashed back to PR 1.2, switch the phone on and it gets the network fine, switch to offline mode then online mode again...and nothing.
This is annoying...

nope, live in the suburbs of a fairly large city.
Always get pretty good 3G signal normally. Just in the last week issues with my phone connecting have started.

Whats weird is i can connect to either 3G or 2G networks no problem if i set the phone to specifically connect to either one, just dual mode refuses to work.

yeah, turns out im a numpty.
when i was mucking about trying to make it work i neglected to do one thing which would have shown that it was vodafone to blame and not the phone.
When it connects to GSM network, can make calls and get data fine...
when it says it's connected to 3G, get nothing at all...calls dont go through and no data.
drive a mile or a mile and a half down the road and all works fine. pretty annoying.
Figured it out because it worked all day at work then when i got home, same issues. sigh.
