(sorry, most of the forums: I couldn't track down Fanoush's e-mail address)

I know that Fanoush released a module package for his earlier modified kernel --- does anyone know about the existence of one compatible with the current one (2.2006)?

Yes, I don't like spam :-) I think it is inside kbdd readme, in scummvm pacakage seen in application manager and when you click paypal donate button on the bottom.

modules are now next to the mmcv4.1 kernels, direct link for 2nd firmware is here
