Hey guys and girls, I'm new to here!

I wonder why does the movies on yt don't have that "hd" or "hq" marks in the movie window. On a computer there are- on n900 not. Guess it's a case of flash 9.0? or somthing different? Can it be changed in any way?

Also i noticed that setting 40mb cache for browser isn't enough when watching pages that contains much flash content. When i setted it to automatic everything works better, including reactions for zooming window and so on...

The N900 can't play HD movies very well, if at all, it's ok for me on the normal ones

Yup think you are right with the flash 9 - hopefully an eventual v10 can/may sort that out

Good update on the cache thing - might try it

Flash 10.1 is supposed to bring hardware acceleration to the N900... will see if it's enough!

I would not expect too much if my laptop is any indication: Double core intel cpu, ATI FireGL 5200, with 64 bit flash plugin (v. 10.0.32), 100 Mbps network, and youtube hd content is not too fluent. They do work though, but somewhat jerky. Maybe that 10.1 with hardware acceleration is the answer, but one could think that this kind of setup would be enough.

Maybe you have some heavy apps running in the background... i have a single core 2.8Ghrz, 1gb ram, nvidia 7900gt.. and it runs fine here..

There is a difference between "HD" and "HQ". Most "HQ" play fine, but "HD" are like slide shows, but the audio works ok.

In my N900 the default is set to 5mb. Is this right? Have i been missing out on some serious webbrowsing because of this as supposed to setting it to auto? =)

from the start i changed it for 40mb so i don't wanna know how are the web pages displayed at 5mb but when setted to automatic works even better than 40mb for me. Especially flash pop ups and so.

really? can you post here a link to the yt with that movie? I'd like to check out it since i don't have these buttons when browsing.

Also i thought about downloading a files in hd with zoutube and displaing it with media player since flash needs powerful hardware? But i don't see an option to choose any kind of quality, just download. Any thoughts??
I ask because hd movies work fine with media player.
