I've seen elswhere on this Forum that the N770 seems to play BBC Radio alright.

Any N800 owners and BBC listerners out there who have tested it on the newer device? Will it play straight from the embedded Radio Player or do you have to save stream URLs? i.e. could you browse this page on an N800 and click that BBC Radio link and hear anything? Any problems? Do live listening and listen again both work?

Grateful for any advice. This looks like a great device.

I just tried both the live feed as welll as the listen again. Clicking on both gives a message about a missing plugin, however the site provides a link for using a stand alone player. Using this link pops up the n800's media player in a new window where they both play just fine.

Thanks a lot ColonelMustard! One other question, if you have the time and disposition -- can the BBC streams be saved as radio stations on the internet radio player seen on the main screen of the n800?

Yup, before my N800 died it was able to play lower res BBC video streams. It was quite pleasant actually, as it has been the only video streaming site that has managed to work - also with the option to full screen.

Haha, watching repeats of top gear on the N800 (If I can revive it) is gonna be "well cool".

BBC streams can be saves as a radio channel or video stream.
