The biggest disappoinment that I would consider with Firmware PR1.2 is the speaker sound. Even when I sat a good quality .wav file as my ringtone, it is hardly noticeable in a noisy environment.

Now I've read that people didn't experience any noteciable improvement with this new firmware 1.3 and mostly consider it a waste. But If this low speaker sound is eliminated I would consider upgrading to version 1.3

So what is your general openion? As it speaker sound is yet no match if I compared to my N95

I don't think the sound quality is noticeably different from fm 1.3. one thing I do is to use a programme called mp3 gain on my pc, if a song is too quiet, the results are good and reversible if you add too much gain to cause over clipping or distortion.
their are a few threads about boosting the speaker volume including this one http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...724#post865724 but they all seem to recommend leaving well alone due to damaged speakers.
