I'm looking for an app that lets me display tracks generated by a german routing site for cyclists (http://www.radroutenplaner.hessen.de/) and my GPS position on a map. The site offers the generated tracks in PCX5, GPX, OVL (used by german topographic map software) and KML formats.
Minimum requirements would be display of my position and the track on the map. Goodies like distance and time to destination, acoustic warning when leaving the track or whatever else you can think of would also be welcome.
A definitive plus would be an easy option to download maps for a specified region in advance so I'm not dependent on Internet connectivity on the way.
Does any such app exist out there, ready for my N900 or just waiting to be ported to it?
If anybody is interested, I can provide sample tracks from the page.
Thanks very much in advance for any help.

I would recommend you try Mappero, currently in Extras-Testing. It should support GPX import, though it may be picky about the exact tags used.

Thank you very much, this looks very promising and imports the GPX files just fine. And it even supports portrait mode, so I might be able to reuse the bike holder from my last mobile. Now I just have to get rid of my terrible cold and then I'll try it out.
I did not find a homepage or any documentation for it, do you have any pointers?

It's the successor of the old Maemo-Mapper which was very popular and widely used. Google finds lots of information about it, and my guess is that most of that information is valid for Mappero as well.
